Vision Hi-Tech Training & Expo | New Technology

MARCH 2012 Overland Park, Kan. — The "Road to Success" was a fitting theme for the 2012 Automotive Service Association of Missouri/Kansas (ASA-MO/KAN) Vision Hi-Tech Training & Expo, said ASA-MO/KAN State Treasurer James Copeland at the opening ceremony of the 20th annual event, March 8-11, at the Overland Park Convention Center.

"We all are traveling down our own roads, and some of us have well thought out plans with goals and benchmarks to make certain of our destination and monitor our progress," Copeland said. "Others of us are flying by the seat of our pants, aimlessly wandering with no sense of direction. And everyone else falls somewhere in between, kind of heading, mostly, in the right direction."

The success of a number of independent repair shops, automotive technology students, and industry professionals was highlighted during Saturday evening’s Celebration of Independents Awards Dinner & Comedy Night, featuring comedian Mike Armstrong.

Best New Product Award was presented Induction Innovations, based in Elgin, IL, for its Mini-Ductor II Flameless Heating System.
