Offering all the same features and benefits as the Mini-Ductor Venom, the Venom HP allows you to heat metal faster than ever before without the risk of collateral damage, burning yourself, and setting a fire that you get with oxyacetylene torches.

No More Open Flames

Without the danger of an open flame, you will be able to heat metallic objects near plastic splash shields or other plastic components without the need to remove or shield them. This saves you time and inconvenience of unnecessary R&I procedures.

Don’t wait until you find that your acetylene torch is empty or that it’s across the shop being used.

How many amps does the unit draw while heating? Steve asked on August 1, 2022

Hi Steve - The tool is rated and designed to handle 15 Amps (15 Amps * 120V = 1800W). The current draw of the unit is load-dependent, meaning the tool’s draw depends on how well it is coupled with the load (the object being heated).

Will it heat a copper joint to the temp required to silver soldier it? 1300 ish. Do y’all make a coil that will heat the joint with out wrapping around it. Leif Bruner asked on July 31, 2022

Hi Leif - The Venom HP will not heat copper so that it can be silver soldered.

The second part is moot however, one can make a coil using our 23" U-form that does not have to wrap around. You would simply make a pancake coil and then form it around the object. The coil will not be as powerful and it still won't heat copper. The Mini-Ductor only heats ferrous metals.
