Get the Most Out of the Mini-Pad Attachment!
Here at the Induction Innovations lab, we’ve been kicking it into high gear with our research and development! One area we have been focusing on is diving into the various applications that can be performed with the Mini-Pad attachment.
What is the Mini-Pad?
The Mini-Pad is an optional heating attachment that is compatible with the entire Mini-Ductor product line. The Mini-Pad consists of a coil placed between two white pads which are coated and protect automotive finishes from fiberglass abrasion. If you’ve seen any of our recent videos, you know it is the favorite accessory of our Marketing Manager, Beth!

How Does the Mini-Pad Work?
The Mini-Pad works similarly to our other coils & accessories. High-frequency magnetic fields pass through non-metallic objects (such as graphics) bonded to metal, heating the metal surface beneath. This heat releases the adhesive bonded to the metal, which allows for clean and fast removal without a need to use solvents. It also does not damage the paint so clean up time is significantly reduced or even eliminated.
This attachment accompanied by one of our Mini-Ductor products can save auto technicians and body shops time, money, and safety by eliminating that need for solvents and by producing quick results.

Graphics Removal for Fleets of Vehicles
One way we’ve been able to get hands-on experience with the Mini-Pad is by taking our tools on location and providing businesses with a live demonstration. Recently, we visited a local business that inquired about removing old graphics from a fleet of vehicles. In just seconds, we were able to show the customer how quickly their graphics could be removed without damaging the paint on the vehicle and leaving it looking good as new.

Experimenting with Junk Cars: Graphics, Emblems, Soft Dents
In addition to customer demonstrations, we’ve also been working on testing the Mini-Pad on junk cars. At our facilities here in Elgin, IL, we’ve removed countless graphics and emblems. We have also dipped our toes into soft dent repair!
Also, thanks to our customers who follow us on social media, we’ve seen customers remove emblems and small glass panels without a scratch! How cool is that?

If you need to remove larger applications such as body panels or spray-in bedliners, then we suggest using the Fast-Off Pad with the Inductor Series models. For larger auto glass removal such as a windshield or quarter glass, we recommend the Inductor Glass Blaster.
